Myra had no idea about what was about to go down. Kevin was being honored for completing his tenure as the President of the Westchester County chapter of the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Each year the Council held a graduate step show as a fundraiser for scholarships. During this event, it was customary for the outgoing President to give remarks. In front of 350 people and a gathering of family and friends, Kevin made his move. Click on the picture to see what happened on that wonderful May evening in 2000.

The Rev. Dr. Shellie Sampson, Jr. the Pastor of Thessalonia Baptist Church performed the ceremony. Thessalonia was Myra's home church for her entire life before Kevin came along. She sang in the choir, was baptized and even worked for the church for a while. Thesslonia was (and always will be) home. Dr. Sampson, an anointed man of God, was absolutely filled with the Holy Spirit. Click the picture to see the ceremony, reception and a few pictures of us as kids.
