OUR STORY



HOW WE MET





We had no idea where God was going to take us when we first met. True to our love of God and to our love for our organizations, we met practicing for a Graduate Step Show for our amazing organizations.

Kevin, a member of PHI BETA SIGMA FRATERNITY Incorporated since 1985.

Myra a member of ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY Incorporated since 1994.

There is no greater connection than being part of the BLUE and WHITE family.




Myra's Story



A beautiful woman born and raised in the Bronx by a family with South Carolina roots. She inherited her spirit of service and helping others from her mother. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School, Syracuse University and Seton Hall University, she has given her life to Christ, her family and helping her community.

Myra is gifted with math.

She loves her ribs, her family and her sorority.

Myra, of course, loves her Man.

Kevin's Story



A brother from Uptown, born and raised in the Washington Heights / Inwood section

of the City that never sleeps. His family roots trace back to Alabama and Mississippi.

The oldest of his siblings, he is a graduate of Fordham Prep, Syracuse University, Fordham University and Drew Theological School. He has always been all about helping other people and continues to do that through his ministry for God's glory.

Kevin sees the world through Blue, loves ice cream and comic books.

God is always doing something new with us. We serve a "Through it all God." God is there through it all. God keeps on making a way for us each and every day.



Loving God for loving us



Each year gets "gooder and gooder". We thank God for all of the prayers on our behalf. The love of family and friends continues to bless us daily and always...



A Timeline of Love



August 25, 2001: OUR WEDDING DAY. Our Honeymoon was in Aruba

September 2002: Myra is selected for the Disney "Tomorrowland" project in California

April 2003: Kevin is ordained in the AME Church

Spring 2004: God blesses us with our first home

November 2004: Myra passes the CPA exam

April 2005: We are assigned to Bethel AME Church in Boonton, NJ (God's Bethel)

May 2008: Kevin earns his doctorate degree from Drew Theological School

November 1, 2008: Kyyra is born

November 4, 2008: As a family we watched the election of President Barack Obama

November 10, 2010: We are assigned to Carter Community AME Church

August 25, 2011: We celebrate our 10th Anniversary in Aruba

May 10, 2014: Makyyla is born

September 2016: We meet President Barack Obama

September 2017: We meet our Fraternity brother, the Honorable John Lewis

March 2019: We meet First Lady Michelle Obama

August 25, 2021: We celebrate 20 years of Love and Marriage


Did you know, that with the exception of Aruba, we have always gone to a location for our anniversary that neither one of us had been to before? Every year is a new experience.
